Bruce Krulwich said Mine installs fine after I change the language to US English but after installation when it tries to run it says "Loading But only my map. How can we see map from other user already selected on my desktop google account? Is it possible? Any chance you could implement some kind of auto-update checker in the next Maps for Mobile? Its a pain otherwise speak to Jan who writes Gravity, he'll help you out. Works like a charm on my HTC Diamond.

No problems downloading or installing I use official 2. Hayden James said I like the updates, good idea to include the My Maps, would be very handy for sightseeing cities! Is a shame though that the J2ME version is still only at 2. When will we get an updated version of google maps for Palm's WebOS. The version that ships with the Pre is terribly dumbed down. Jason Sares said I completely agree with Boris. I have the G1 and I'm getting tired of being the red head step child.

I thought everyone at Google Mobile got free G1's and now the Touch to develop on. Is Android harder to develop on than Windows Mobile?

Schattenwand said Very cool google! Next step: Improve Car Navigation big time!! Stop not implementing car navigation! I will be using it anyway and die because of the poor handling! I tried downloading v3. Any ideas how I can get the new version? July 23, at PM. Dov: My install on WinMo6. I really appreciate your effort of letting google map to choose its default language smartly by referring to the machine's "Regional setting".

Hong Kong people don't really like simplified Chinese. It will be really great if you can take note of this issue and make corresponding fixes in later releases. July 24, at AM. Nebula said I believe I am running WinMo 6. Adam Thomas, Crisis Systems Analyst said July 24, at PM. Google Mobile Team, are you able to add the multiple route results as in the desktop version in the next release?

I had to make a trip to my new job and on the desktop version I got 3 choices of different ways to get there, on my N82, I only got one result and it was the one with the most traffic.

Is it possible to add the multi-route result or whatever fancy name you come up with : without it taking 6 months to be released. Is it a limitation of the phone OSes or just something that is coming in future releases? I'll give you a call when I get the patent sorted out Until then You said that you "can iterate quickly and provide new functionality, often without requiring installing anything new".

July 25, at AM. M Harley said I can see how your product roadmap may be based on usage stats. Inquiring minds want to know, is it possible to get an idea of when we may see it in Web OS or Android?

July 25, at PM. Nice job July 27, at PM. I also checked that the WiFi is set to be "Internet" and not "work" etc. What does that error mean? July 28, at AM. This is a great addition. I tried it on my N95 and it worked well, but I was dissapointed that I still could add locations from my phone i. All map data is downloaded over the air which could have an impact on data bills for those not on unlimited data plans.

Another advantage that is less immediately apparent is the fact it uses a lot less RAM during operations which should mean it has less of an impact on multi-taskers.

The application is now able to access 'Show current location' the internal GPS of the phone and the current location is indicated by a blue dot on the screen. With the GPS active, you can jump to your current location at any point using the '0' key. Being able to jump to an aerial view, in exquisite detail, of your current location, more or less anywhere in the world, without lifting a finger or giving the software any manual help, is MAGICAL.

You get lost, you open your N95 or E90 or , etc and you're almost instantly shown where you are and, after a couple more keypresses, given explicit directions to get home, overlaid on a traditional street map or the respected Google Maps satellite view. The ability to immediately view anyplace on the planet and in many cases, see the street view - is just amazing. I do have one major disappointment, though.

A few iterations ago, google changed something and I really hate the update. I am not at all interested in train schedules.

This is a massive annoyance. It would make my life much easier if they could offer the option to eliminate train schedule information and just treat the sites like other businesses. Other than this one problem, google maps is just about perfect for me.

I still think street view was the most incredible vision by someone who knew how to think outside the box and truly innovate. This is a way for me to visit and explore my beloved Japan even when I cannot be there; and I am grateful for that capability. Buggy sometimes even with good signal.

When I search along the route it will sometimes not come up with any search results, only for me to pass the very thing I searched for prior in my drive. Not all gas stations show up in searches, it almost seems to favor the expensive gas stations.

It will re rout my whole trip to a significantly slower route if it senses traffic, even if that traffic is close to the end of my trip hours away and will be cleared well before I get to that point.

So I am a truck driver, I use this app to guide me in my travels. A lot of old school truck driver always cry about this saying it will get you in a bind. Would one use a hammer to insert a screw? I look at streets, roads, everything. You see I am making sure trucks can go down the route.
